Le conseil de la SF2A
Le MENESR organise cette année le renouvellement des sections CNAP. Le matériel de vote est parvenu aux électeurs via les OSU. Comme en 2011, il s’agit d’un scrutin de liste, sans panachage possible. Les sièges sont attribués aux différentes listes proportionnellement au nombre de voix obtenues. Les candidats élus sont pris dans chacune des listes dans leur ordre d’apparition.
N’oubliez que votre courrier de vote doit parvenir au ministère le 23 juin à minuit au plus tard.

3. RAPPEL : 4ème "International Young Astronomer School" - 16-20 novembre 2015, Meudon
L’école est organisée par l’Ecole Doctorale Astronomie-Astrophysique d’Île-de-France (ED 127) sur le sujet "Large Ground-based 21st Century Radio Instruments : ALMA/NOEMA - SKA/LOFAR/NenuFAR".
Elle se tiendra au Centre International d’Etudes Pédagogiques (CIEP) de Sèvres - 92 France, à 10 min de l’Observatoire de Paris-Meudon.
La date limite des inscriptions est le 30 juin 2015.

C’est une école thématique qui s’adresse en priorité aux doctorants, post-doctorants, ainsi qu’aux jeunes chercheurs.

4. Journées Nationales PNCG 2015 - 15-16 décemre 2015, Nice
Le Programme National Cosmologie et Galaxies organise à Nice, les 15 et 16 décembre 2015, ses journées nationales autour des différents thèmes soutenus par le programme (Physique et contenu de l’Univers ; Evolution des structures ; Formation et évolution des galaxies ; Galaxies résolues en étoiles). Nous encourageons particulièrement les porteurs de projets soutenus par le PNCG à venir présenter leurs travaux, et les journées sont aussi ouvertes à d’autres contributions.
Les journées auront lieu le campus Saint Jean d’Angely (24 Avenue des Diables Bleus, 06357 Nice), pôle de l’Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis (UNS).

5. Atelier AS Gaia : "Modelling Milky Way-type galaxies in the Gaia era" - 17-18 décembre 2015, Nice
The tremendous amount of data that the Gaia mission will deliver, together with those of spectroscopic missions already available (GES, APOGEE, GALAH, ..), constitutes an exceptional testbed for all numerical models aiming at quantifying the evolution of Milky Way-type galaxies as a function of redshift. The Milky Way now offers the unique opportunity to test models predictions, contrain the efficiency of different processes as a function of time, and ultimately help in decoding the puzzle of the evolution of disc galaxies. As examples, the transition from an initial, violent phase of evolution of our Galaxy to a more quiescent, secular one is probably encoded in the Galactic thick and thin disc stellar populations, respectively : from chemistry-age relations, it is possible to derive information about the star formation efficiency and related feedback at early epochs, from their dispersions it starts to be possible to contrain the steepness of metallicity gradients at high redshift, their evolution and the amount of gas accretion that the Galaxy experienced over time. Secular evolutionary processes, like bar formation and evolution, radial migration, etc leave specific signatures that can be tested on current data, where traces of past satellites accretion events are also found.
The aim of this two-days workshop is thus to bring together modelers and observers working on different fields (Galactic stellar populations and dynamics, high redshift universe, ISM physics, ..) to make the point on the most recent discoveries about the Galaxy and the challenges they present for all models of galaxy evolution. This workshop aims to build bridges with a broader audience than that specifically working on Gaia. For this, we warmly invite researchers working on extragalactic topics to join our meeting, to start a common discussion on how the Milky Way fits in the current scheme of formation and evolution of disc galaxies, and the challenges that our Galaxy presents for interpreting extragalactic discoveries.
This meeting is organized by the AS Gaia, with the support of the PNCG, in Nice on December 17 and 18, and will follow « Les Journées PNCG » organized in Nice on the 15 and 16th December.
