3. Chalonge School CIAS Workshop 2011 "Warm Dark Matter in Galaxies : Theoretical and Observational Progresses", 8-10 June 2011, Observatoire de Paris at Meudon
Recently, LambdaWDM (Warm Dark Matter) emerged impressively over LambdaCDM (Cold Dark Matter) whose small galactic- scale (and even larger scale) problems are ever-increasing. LambdaWDM solves naturally the problems of LambdaCDM and agrees with the observations at small as well as large and cosmological scales.
The Workshop addresses the last progresses made in WARM DARK MATTER and the Universal and Non Universal properties of Galaxies. In the tradition of the Chalonge School, an effort of clarification and synthesis will be made by combining in a conceptual framework, theory, analytical, observational and numerical simulation results that reproduce observations.
The Meeting is open to all scientists interested in the subject, post-docs and students.
Key words : Dark Matter, KeV mass particle, small and large scale structures, neutrinos in dark matter and cosmology, beta decay experiments and sterile neutrinos, galaxy and cluster properties, structure formation in agreement with observations, universality.

Early registration is strongly encouradged

5. Workshop : "First workshop on the sample return mission to a primitive Near-Earth Asteroid : MarcoPolo-R", 9-10 June 2011,ESA-ESRIN in Frascati, Rome
This workshop is aimed at discussing organizing the MarcoPolo-R study activities within the International community of scientists, engineers and industries, thus providing an opportunity for the wide planetary science community to interact with the MarcoPolo-R Science Study Team, so as to further refine the mission’s goals, its science drivers, the required instruments, and the technological developments for the science payload.
You can find the complete announcement and registration file on this website.
Please fill in and send the form no later than April 30, 2011.

6. The Chalonge School 15th Paris Cosmology Colloquium 2011 " From Cold Dark Matter to Warm Dark Matter in the Standard Model of the Universe:Theory and Observations ", 20-22 July 2011, Observatoire de Paris
Recently, LambdaWDM (Warm Dark Matter) emerged impressively over LambdaCDM (Cold Dark Matter) whose small -galactic- scale (and even larger scale) problems are ever-increasing.. LambdaWDM solves naturally the problems of LambdaCDM and agree with the observations at small as well as large and cosmological scales.
The aim of the meeting is to put together the recent cosmological and astrophysical data and hard theory predictive approach connected to them in the framework of the Standard Model of the Universe.
The Meeting is open to all scientists, post-docs, students, interested in the subject.
Keywords : CMB, Infllation, Warm Dark Matter, Small and Large Scale Structure, Dark Energy, Standard Cosmological Model. Neutrinos, beta decay experiments and sterile neutrinos.

7. Joint EPSC-DPS 2011 Meeting - Small Bodies Session 2 : "Small bodies as granular systems", 3-7 October 2011, Nantes
We would like to bring to your attention to the Small Bodies Session 2 : "Small bodies as granular systems" of the upcoming Joint EPSC-DPS 2011 Meeting.
This session is dedicated to discussions and recent research on granular systems and contact dynamics applicable to the study of gravitational aggregates, sample return missions, and small bodies in general. It encompasses planetary science observation and modelling, numerical methods, laboratory experiments and scaling, segregation phenomena, rheology and forces involved.
For general information on the conference and online abstract submission, please visit this website.
Note the deadline for submitting abstracts : May 31.
Looking forward to seeing you in Nantes, D. Hestroffer (IMCCE/Obspm, France), D. Scheeres (univ. Collorado at Boulder, USA), P. Tanga (OCA, France), P. Michel (OCA, France), D. Richardson (univ. Maryland, USA), W. Losert (univ. Maryland, USA)
