Deux postes d’astronomes résidents français seront vacants au Télescope Canada-France-Hawaï (TCFH) à partir du 1er septembre 2020. Les postes sont ouverts pour une durée de trois ans, renouvelable. La date butoir de l’appel à candidatures est fixée au 15 janvier 2019.

4. Coherent Structure Tracking software Workshop, March 3-4, Orsay
The CST MEDOC workshop is dedicated to the training and use of the Coherent Structure Tracking (CST) software, it will take place on March 3-4, 2020 at the Institute of Space Astrophysics in Orsay (France). This software allows, by tracking the solar granules, to measure the velocities (Vx, Vy) on the surface of the Sun from the intensity data observed by the HMI / SDO satellite. Together with the Doppler velocities, it allows to deduce velocities in spherical coordinates (Vr, Vtheta, Vphi) on the surface of the Sun. In this workshop, it will be presented the genesis and development of this software and all stages of reduction. The scientific limitations of using this code will also be mentioned. During the two days, the participants will be able to practice the code on examples in the form of practical work. Part of the workshop will be devoted to the explanation of the installation of this CST code on their own servers as well as the various precautions to take. Participants will have to come with their own computer equipment (PC, Mac, ...) This software is non-commercial. This workshop is open to all researchers and students of the international solar community. This workshop is free but registration is mandatory before February 10, 2020 (limited to 20 persons).

5. Conférence EJC’19 - du 18 au 20 novembre 2019 au CNES, Paris
Bonjour à tous,
Les EJC’19 approchent à grands pas ! Attention : Les inscriptions ferment jeudi 14 novembre à midi. L’inscription n’est validée qu’une fois le paiement reçu. De même, les personnes ayant déjà payé doivent impérativement remplir la fiche d’inscription et la transmettre à ejc2019@exobiologie.fr.
Pour rappel, Exobiologie Jeunes Chercheurs est une conférence organisée par de jeunes chercheurs pour donner la parole aux jeunes chercheurs travaillant dans le domaine de l’exobiologie. Et non, l’exobiologie ne s’intéresse pas seulement aux petits hommes verts qui auraient vécu et/ou vivent encore sur Mars... C’est une science qui s’intéresse aux origines de la vie au sens large (sur Terre et ailleurs dans l’univers).
