1. Concours Logo SF2A : appel aux talents de la communauté
En 2023, la SF2A a pour objectif de mettre en place un nouveau site web et un nouveau logo est dès à présent recherché. Un appel à idées et à talents artistiques et graphiques est lancé au sein de la communauté, pour recueillir vos propositions de logo pour la SF2A.
Ce logo devra permettre une identification facile et immédiate de la SF2A, dans le but de faire connaitre ou reconnaitre la SF2A à sa communauté, à ses tutelles et à ses partenaires, aux autres sociétés savantes en France et à l’étranger, au grand public et aux médias,....
Ce logo devra être facilement transformable en monochrome et/ou négatif ; et devra s’insérer dans le template du nouveau site web (voir le template). Deux versions du logo devront être envoyé en version originale et monochrome.
Vos envois numériques (au format png et sans image de fond) sont à adresser au bureau de la SF2A via presidence@sf2a.eu avant le 21 décembre 2022, ou à déposer sur un site-dépôt si le fichier est trop volumineux. Le conseil de la SF2A procédera à la sélection du logo lors de sa réunion de janvier, et le logo retenu intégrera directement le nouveau site WEB de la SF2A.
Le gagnant se verra offrir les frais de mission afin de participer aux journées de la SF2A (dans une limite d’un montant maximum de 800 euros).

2. Appel à organisation des Journées SF2A 2024 !
Vous aimez vous retrouver lors de Journées de la SF2A, organisées tous les ans dans une ville différente en France. Après 2 ans de pandémie, Besançon nous a accueilli en 2022, et c’est à Strasbourg que nous nous retrouverons en 2023. Pourquoi pas dans votre ville en 2024 !?!
Le conseil de la SF2A fait un appel à la communauté pour l’organisation de la semaine de l’astrophysique française en 2024. Les journées SF2A 2022 ont regroupé près de 400 participants, sur 4 jours. L’organisation de ces journées nécessite la possibilité d’avoir accès à un amphi pouvant accueillir environ 400 personnes pour les demi-journées consacrées aux sessions plénières, et de pouvoir utiliser 5 à 6 salles en parallèle, de capacités différentes, pour les ateliers ayant lieu habituellement les après-midi. L’organisation de telles journées nécessite un LOC composé de personnes scientifiques et d’administratives disponibles et motivées.
Vos candidatures sont à adresser au bureau de la SF2A via presidence@sf2a.eu avant le 11 janvier 2023. Elles devront informer le conseil de la faisabilité de cette organisation en terme de salles, fournir une liste préliminaire d’un possible LOC, ainsi que toute information pouvant aider le conseil à examiner votre candidature.

3. 2nd announcement for the astrochemical origins conference
In the context of the AstroChemical Origins (ACO) ITN H2020 project, the DOC ERC, the SIRC ANR and the ERC project QuantumGrain, we are organizing a conference entitled "Chemical Processes in Solar-type Star-Forming Regions", in Toulouse, France, 5-9th of June 2023.

The aim is to gather together the actors of the intrinsically interdisciplinary topics present in ACO : instrumentalists, astronomers, chemists, and modelers. The goal of the conference is to review and discuss the recent huge progress in the four areas and, hopefully, open new future avenues.
The meeting will consist of invited reviews, invited and contributed talks, and posters, in 4 sessions which will cover the astronomical observations and modeling, as well as laboratory experiments and theoretical computations :
I. Interstellar ices, II. Molecular complexity, III. Molecular fractionation, IV. Cometary ices.

5. Workshop "What future for European large format IR detectors ?", CEA, Dec. 7 2022
Astronomy is one of the scientific fields where the observation of astronomical objects leads to the development of new detectors allowing to open windows in different wavelengths, for imaging or spectroscopic purposes, with stringent technical specifications. A strategic area concerns large format arrays working in the near infrared with possible applications on the ground and in space. The Labex FOCUS has participated in the development with ESA of the 2,000x2,000 ALFA arrays manufactured and characterized by the CEA-LETI, CEA-DAp and Lynred consortium. This one-day workshop is organized to bring together scientists and technologists in order to present the first results of ALFA, and the possible use of this detector for scientific purposes.

6. Galilean Moons Workshop : Save the Date (Oct 24-26, 2023)
The Workshop on the Origins and Habitability of the Galilean Moons is scheduled for October 24–26, 2023, at the Laboratoire d’Astrophysique de Marseille, Technopole de Marseille-Etoile, 38 rue Frédéric Joliot-Curie, 13388 Marseille cedex 13, France. The three-day in-person workshop will be co-chaired by Olivier Mousis, Kathy Mandt and Morgan Cable. Further information can be found here :
The goal of this workshop is to prepare for the arrival of the ESA/JUICE and NASA/Europa-Clipper missions in the Jovian system. In particular, the link between the composition of the moons and the formation conditions of giant planets systems, as well as their potential habitability, as evidenced by measurement techniques, instrumentation, laboratory experiments, and future mission concepts in the framework of international collaborations, are of high interest. Presenters will be encouraged to submit their works to a special issue of a dedicated journal.
In-person attendance will be limited to ninety people ; limited opportunity for virtual participation is planned. Some support for in-person attendance may also be available for students and early-career researchers. The organizers will monitor the COVID situation, and the workshop format, including virtual participation, will be adjusted as necessary.
