1. Prix de collaboration franco-espagnole 2014 : lauréats
Le prix de collaboration franco-espagnole 2014 a été attribué à
Bertrand Lefloch (IPAG) et Rafael Bachiller (Observatorio
Astronomico Nacional) pour leur projet "ASAI - Astrochemical Surveys
At IRAM : Chemical Surveys of Sun-Like Star Forming Regions".
Une présentation du projet aura lieu le vendredi 6 juin lors des
journées de la SF2A. Le prix sera remis lors des journées annuelles de
la SEA qui se tiendront à Teruel du 8 au 12 septembre 2014.

Nous rappelons aux membres de la SF2A à jour de leur cotisation le 30 avril 2014 qu’ils peuvent voter pour le renouvellement du conseil de la SF2A (s’ils ne l’ont pas déjà fait) jusqu’au mercredi 27 mai. Pour cela, ils doivent suivre le lien dans le message qui leur a été adressé individuellement début mai.

4. First SPIRou Science Meeting - 22-25 septembre 2014, Paris
First annoucement
SPIRou recently passed its FDR (Final Design Review) and the project is now entering the construction and integration phase (with a first light at CFHT planned for 2017). A SPIRou Legacy Survey (SLS) of 500 CFHT nights on a timescale of 5 yr is proposed - to be focused on the two main science goals of SPIRou : (i) the quest for habitable Earth-like planets around very-low-mass stars, and (ii) the study of low-mass star & planet formation in the presence of magnetic fields. Although dedicated to the two science goals described above and to tightly connected topics (e.g., the activity and magnetic topologies of M dwarfs), the SLS data will also be very useful for a variety of other science programs of high interest for the whole community.
The observations comprising the SLS are in particular intended to achieve the following objectives : (a) accomplish selected large-scale community-defined scientific programs and (b) provide the community with an extensive, homogenous, well characterized, and high quality database having the potential for a wide range of longlasting scientific applications.
The first SPIRou Science Meeting will be held in Paris (Campus de Jussieu and IAP) on 2014 Sept 22-25. The goal is to initiate science preparation for SPIRou and to iterate with the community on the definition and coordination of the SLS, to update its composition and to nominate its representatives.
The preliminary program of the SPIRou Science Meeting is as follows (a more detailed program will be sent later on and will be available on a SPIRou website) :
day 1 : Definition of the SPIRou planet search ; a Radial Velocity
Survey of nearby M-dwarfs. Discussion on survey simulation, sampling,
observational strategy, target selection, constraint on planet
formation, follow up observations, activity jitter (modelisation,
charcacterization, filtering), by-product of the survey, work-package
organisation...
day 2 : Definition of the SPIRou transiting planets follow-up ;
target selection from TESS/K2/, observational strategy, Rossiter
monitoring, constraints on planetary internal structures,
complementary observations with JWST / CHEOPS, models of planet
atmospheres, work-package organisation...
day 3 : Definition of magnetic protostars survey ; magnetic
topologies of class-I, -II and -III protostars, accretion processes in
low-mass protostars, hot jupiters around wTTSs, dynamo processes of
protostars and M dwarfs, inner regions of accretion discs,
work-packages organisations...
day 4 : 1st half day : other science topics w/ SPIRou (preparation
of complementary LP) 2nd half day : discussion on the SLS,
organisation, the Data Processing center, the DA and PP, the Work
Packages, coordinators, responsibilities…

5. Ecole "INtelligent Signal Processing for FrontIEr Research and Industry" - 14-25 juillet 2014, Paris
Second Edition of a new global programme of Annual International Schools on : INtelligent Signal Processing for FrontIEr Research and Industry, held at the University Campus PARIS-‐DIDEROT, July 14-‐25.
The School program is built as a journey over the whole signal
processing chain of the 21st century instruments. It will focus on the
most advanced technologies required at each step of the processing
chain and on the Physics motivations that drive their use.
The school will provide lectures and laboratory work in a variety of
cross-‐disciplinary example applications drawn from the exploration
of the distant Universe, medical imaging of the human body, and
exploration of the elementary particle world.
Lectures on technical developments and science overviews will be given
by experts from Academia and Industry.
A series of hands on laboratories, classes with computer-‐based
exercises and the master-‐classes will serve to support and
complement the lectures.
A hallmark of the school will be the promotion of exchange and
collaboration between the students and the lecturers and tutors both
within and across disciplines.
The school is targeted at M.Sc., Ph.D., and young postdoc-‐level
engineers and physicists.

Livre blanc en radioastronomie basse et moyenne fréquence.
Comme discuté lors des journées radio de l’AS SKA-LOFAR, il a été décidé de faire un livre blanc recensant les intérêts pour la communauté française de la radioastronomie basse et moyenne fréquence. Notez bien, que cela va bien au delà des observatoires SKA et LOFAR, même s’il y une réflexion principale autour des thèmes de SKA. Toutes contributions, même courtes, sont incitées et les bienvenues, y compris au delà des contributions listées sur le site web de l’AS. Cette liste préliminaire (groupée par thème) est construite à partir des contributions orales aux journées radio.
Dans votre contribution, il vous est demandé de mettre en avant :
les grandes questions, avec éventuellement les faits saillants de la
communauté française, ou toutes autres contributions majeures hors
communauté française
Apport de la radio basse et moyenne fréquence au domaine
Intérêts et contributions futures françaises pour le domaine dans
l’optique du SKA (selon votre point de vue).
En ce qui concerne les spécificités techniques du SKA, des informations techniques peuvent être obtenues à partir de la page suivante (principalement le "Baseline Design Document"). Ces informations (et d’autres) se retrouvent sur la page web de l’AS SKA-LOFAR.
L’idée étant d’alimenter le débat de la prospective INSU en cours, il y a donc une certaine urgence. Il vous est demandé de fournir votre contribution (relativement courte 1 à 2 pages ) pour le 20 juin dans un format libre (latex, Word ou tout autre format) au responsable du thème (voir liste). Le délai est court, mais nécessaire, si on veut partager notre travail avec les groupes de la prospective.
Pour tout question, n’hésitez pas à contacter ce responsable de thème ou le directeur de l’AS SKA-LOFAR (Stéphane Corbel). Toutes les contributions seront mises en commun pour la constitution du livre blanc. N’hésitez pas à faire circuler ce message autour de vous.
