1. Thèses-EN-ligne

2. Creation of the International Statistical Institute (IS) Astrostatistics Network

The International Statistical Institute (ISI) executive committee approved the creation of a standing astrostatistics committee/Network in its December meeting. The action was ratified by the ISI Council, and was made official on Dec 22. This is the first such standing committee and global association of astrostatistics created under the auspices of a statistics or astronomical organization.

The Network has been created as a global association for anyone interested in the statistical analysis of astronomical data. The goal is to foster collaboration between statisticians and astronomers/astrophysicists, to promote astrostatistical education, and to enhance astrostatistics as a solid statistical discipline in its own right. Network members may actively work together to advance these goals, or may simply use the Network to gain information regarding conferences and educational events.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the statistical analysis of astronomical data. Network members do not have to be statisticians or astrophysicists, They may be computer scientists, probabilists, geologists, astrobiologists, or anyone with an interest in the area.

A Network membership list will be maintained by the committee. Each member is expected to provide their name, affiliation, email address, and primary areas of astrostatistical interest.
