Les Journées de la SF2A 2026 approchent, et avec elles, une étape importante pour notre communauté : le renouvellement de la moitié du Conseil d’Administration. Cette année, 7 candidatures sont proposées pour 6 postes à pourvoir. Votre voix compte pour façonner l’avenir de la SF2A !

Pour participer au vote, il est nécessaire d’être adhérent·e à jour de cotisation. Si ce n’est pas encore fait, c’est donc le moment de renouveler ou souscrire votre adhésion !

3. First calls for proposals for KM3NeT and Pierre Auger Observatory

For the first time, the KM3NeT and Pierre Auger Collaborations encourages external scientists to propose scientific programs using their neutrino and cosmic-ray data, via a transnational access call. KM3NeT is a research infrastructure housing the next generation neutrino telescopes with one of its main goals to look for astrophysical sources such as supernovae, micro quasars, gamma-ray bursts or active galactic nuclei, etc. The Pierre Auger Observatory is the largest ultra-high energy cosmic-ray experiment in operation in Argentina.  

Following proposal submission, the Program Committee (PC) will evaluate proposals, with this cycle’s review conducted by a joint KM3NeT+Pierre Auger PC. This includes several members from both KM3NeT and the Pierre Auger Collaborations as well as from other related experiments.

The cycle 1 of transnational access to KM3NeT and/or Auger data is opened up to the submission deadline: May 22, 2026, at 12:00 UTC. The decision will be given early September.

This call is supported by the ACME project (https://www.acme-astro.eu/ ) that enables transnational access on the basis of scientific merit to a wide range of complementary astroparticle, high-energy and astronomical research infrastructures to perform new science in multi-messenger astrophysics.

4. Appel à candidature Prix Thierry Célérier-Femmes & Sciences pour l’encouragement des jeunes femmes de talent en situation de handicap souhaitant développer un projet scientifique ou technologique

L’association Femmes & Sciences est heureuse de vous annoncer l’ouverture de l’appel à candidature de la sixième édition du Prix Thierry Célérier – Femmes & Sciences pour l’encouragement des jeunes femmes de talent en situation de handicap souhaitant développer un projet scientifique ou technologique.

Créé en 2021, ce prix a pour objet de soutenir, promouvoir et conforter dans leur entreprise les jeunes femmes en situation de handicap ayant pour objectif de réaliser un projet ambitieux, soit d’études ou de recherches scientifiques, soit d’innovation technologique.

En 2026, l’association Femmes & Sciences remettra une dotation d’un montant de 10 000 € destinée à encourager une jeune femme de 20 à 28 ans, en situation de handicap, ayant fait preuve de succès dans ses études ou réalisations antérieures, soit à poursuivre des études scientifiques de haut niveau, soit à mener à bien un programme de recherche, soit à développer une innovation technologique prometteuse, dans les secteurs public ou privé.

La date d’ouverture du dépôt des dossiers de candidature est le mardi 31 mars 2026.

5. EPSC 2026 SB9 – From Primitive Bodies to Rocky Planets: Carbon Chemistry and Chemical Evolution, 6-11 September, 2026, The Hague (The Netherlands)

We are organizing a session entitled ‘From Primitive Bodies to Rocky Planets: Carbon Chemistry and Chemical Evolution’ at this year’s EPSC, which will be run in a fully hybrid format from 6 to 11 September 2026 in The Hague (The Netherlands).

We invite contributions from all disciplines investigating carbon chemistry and its evolution, from primitive bodies to rocky planets and habitable environments. Whether through laboratory studies, observations, in situ measurements, or modeling, all approaches are welcome.

Join us in advancing our understanding of the role and fate of carbon in planetary systems and in shaping future exploration efforts, and share your research in our session. 6. EPSC 2026 EXOA4 – Future and current instruments to detect and characterise extrasolar planets and their environment, 6-11 September, 2026, The Hague (The Netherlands)

We would like to bring to your attention the open abstract submission of the session:

“Future and current instruments to detect and characterise extrasolar planets and their environment”

It will take place during the Europlanet Science Congress 2026 (EPSC 2026, https://www.epsc2026.eu/), as part of the “Exoplanets, Origins of Planetary Systems and Astrobiology” programmes. The meeting will be taking place from 6–11 September 2026 in The Hague, The Netherlands.

Context and goals:

Exoplanets are being discovered in large numbers thanks to recent and ongoing surveys using state-of-the-art instrumentation from the ground and space. In the next few years, new astronomical instruments (such as Nancy Grace Roman, PLATO, CHORUS, SAXO+, ANDES, Ariel, ELF, HWO and others) will scout ever more distant regions of our Galaxy, and they will validate new technology for the ultimate direct characterisation of temperate exoplanets. Such a change in the physical and technological horizons will allow us to overcome current observational biases in the search for alien worlds and to gain a deeper understanding of the chemical and physical properties of exoplanets and the environments that surround them. Ultimately, we will be able to unveil processes of formation and evolution of planets, together with those of their atmospheres, on a scale much larger than our Solar Neighbourhood.

The goal of this session is to bring together the instrumentation and observational communities that are underpinning the future of this field. Contributors are invited to review ongoing programmes of discovery and characterisation of both exoplanet and circumstellar discs, to update on the progress of planned instrumentation programmes, and to present innovative ideas for future instrumentation.
