Nous vous rappelons que les journées de la SF2A 2025 se tiendront du 1 au 4 juillet 2025 à Toulouse. Toutes les informations concernant les ateliers, les sessions plénières et les différents aspects pratiques sont sur le site web suivant : https://journees.sf2a.eu.
Les inscriptions sont ouvertes jusqu’au 10 juin inclus pour une participation en présentiel (y compris pour les étudiants, doctorants, porteurs d’ateliers, orateurs de sessions plénières), et jusqu’au 20 juin inclus pour une participation en ligne. Le tarif réduit est disponible jusqu’au 20 mai inclus.

2. Junior Professorship (CPJ) in Artificial Intelligence for Galactic and Solar System Astrophysics at the UTINAM Institute (Besançon)
The Université Marie et Louis Pasteur invites applications for a Junior Professorship position (CPJ) in the field of Artificial Intelligence applied to Galactic and/or Solar System Astrophysics. This unique fast-track position is designed for researchers with exceptional potential, offering a direct path to a permanent Full Professorship upon successful review after 4 years. Within the AI-GALILEO project, the candidate will develop cutting-edge astrophysical research, leveraging state-of-the-art artificial intelligence techniques to revolutionize the analysis of vast astronomical datasets. This interdisciplinary role will contribute to advancing our understanding of fundamental astrophysical phenomena, such as solar system formation, stellar populations, and the physics and chemistry of the interstellar medium.

3. Appel à candidatures pour la fonction de Présidente ou de Président de l’Observatoire de Paris
Cet appel à candidatures a pour objet de pourvoir le poste de Présidente ou de Président de l’Observatoire de Paris, qui sera vacant à compter de mars 2026.
La personne élue assurera la direction de cet établissement emblématique, centre d’innovation et de découvertes en astronomie depuis plus de 350 ans, qui regroupe aujourd’hui, sur ses trois campus (Paris, Meudon, Nançay), environ un quart des effectifs nationaux en astronomie et astrophysique.

4. Les femmes astronomes effacées, encore une fois.
La Commission Femmes & Astronomie de la @SF2A dénonce le hors-série de Ciel & Espace consacré aux « grands découvreurs de l’Univers » : une seule femme mentionnée. Une. Sur des siècles d’histoire.
Ce n’est pas une omission. C’est l’effet Matilda : ce biais qui efface les contributions des femmes scientifiques, attribuées à leurs collègues masculins.
Où sont:
* Cecilia Payne, qui a démontré que les étoiles sont faites d’hydrogène ?
* Jocelyn Bell Burnell, découvreuse des pulsars ?
* Vera Rubin, pionnière de la matière noire ?
* Caroline Herschel, Maria Cunitz, Nicole-Reine Lepaute… ?
Même quand les historiennes et les chercheuses font le travail de mémoire (cf. Vauglin 2021, Nazé 2022, Ouazzani & Vauglin 2024), des médias effacent encore ces noms.

5. JWST Exosystem Proposal Preparation workshop – Cycle 5 : last call, June 18-19, 2025, Marseille (France)
Registrations are open for the JWST Exosystem Proposal Preparation workshop – Cycle 5, to be held at the Laboratoire d’Astrophysique de Marseille on June 18 and 19.

Roman Coronagraph Splinter session:
A dedicated splinter session will take place just after the workshop (morning of Friday, June 20th) to coordinate the preparation of Roman Coronagraph Science & Technology proposals within the CPP France community. Workshop participants are welcome to attend.
Workshop rational:
In just 3 observing cycles, the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has already revolutionized the science of exoplanets and exoplanetary systems. Its unrivalled sensitivity and spectral resolution, particularly in the mid-infrared, have enabled previously unattainable diagnoses to be made. Significant breakthroughs have been made in all sub-fields related to exoplanetary systems, from transiting rocky planets to gas giant planets, and from the chemistry of inner disks to the physics of cold outer disks.
As the pressure to obtain observing time with this observatory keeps increasing, it is all the more necessary to join forces to develop competitive science cases with multiple expertise from observations to theory.
To help the French exosystem community to develop strong and successful proposals, we will be holding the 3rd edition of the JWST Exosystem Proposal Preparation Workshop series on June 18-19 at the Laboratoire d’Astrophysique de Marseille.
This two-day workshop will be organized in two parts:
- A session with invited talks from experts about the health of the telescope and its instruments, and reviews on the latest JWST results on Exosystems sub-fields,
- A brainstorming session in small groups to develop collaborative proposals on key science cases.

6. Adaptive Optics School, October 12-17, 2025, Observatoire de Haute-Provence (France)
We are pleased to announce the second edition of the Observing with Adaptive Optics international school, which will take place at the Observatoire de Haute-Provence (OHP) from 12 to 17 October 2025.
This school is intended for young scientists, engineers, and technicians who wish to deepen their knowledge of adaptive optics technologies applied to astronomy. The program will feature lectures by leading experts in the field, hands-on sessions, and observations with the T152 telescope, which is equipped with the PAPYRUS adaptive optics system.
During the school, participants will conduct a complete adaptive optics observation, from the preparation of the scientific case and the telescope run to data reduction and presentation of the results.
Participation is free of charge, excluding travel expenses. Registration is now open.
