Lancement du concours Photo \u00ab\u00a0Sciences grand angle\u00a0\u00bb<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Coll\u00e8ge des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s savantes acad\u00e9miques de France lance cette ann\u00e9e la <strong>premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition de \u201cSciences grand angle\u201d,<\/strong> <strong>un concours photo ouvert aux adh\u00e9rent\u00b7es d\u2019une quinzaine de soci\u00e9t\u00e9s et associations membres du Coll\u00e8ge<\/strong> dont vous trouverez la liste sur la <a href=\"https:\/\/societes-savantes.fr\/concours-photo-sciences-grand-angle\/sga-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">page web du concours<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce concours permettra d\u2019illustrer &#8211; aupr\u00e8s du public, mais aussi parmi nous &#8211; la diversit\u00e9 de nos activit\u00e9s par la constitution d\u2019une galerie de photos d\u2019objets d\u2019\u00e9tudes et de portraits de scientifiques en action qui sera retrouv\u00e9e sur le site web du Coll\u00e8ge et sur ses comptes de r\u00e9seaux sociaux. Une s\u00e9lection de ces photos pourrait \u00eatre publi\u00e9e sous forme d\u2019un livre, d\u2019un calendrier, voire donner lieu \u00e0 des expositions dans des lieux embl\u00e9matiques des sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prix du jury et du jeune public :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deux \u00ab\u00a0prix du jury\u201d d\u2019une valeur de 300 euros chacun seront d\u00e9cern\u00e9s en d\u00e9cembre 2024 par un jury associant scientifiques et acteurs de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. Deux \u201cprix du jeune public\u201d suppl\u00e9mentaires de 300 euros seront \u00e9galement attribu\u00e9s. Les photos gagnantes seront utilis\u00e9es comme cartes de v\u0153ux officielles du Coll\u00e8ge pour l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2025. The RED Astrobiology Introductory Virtual School, June 10th-14th, 2024 : Registration open<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>RED is a Training School about the \u201cBasics in Astrobiology\u201d. Astrobiology addresses questions related to the origins of life, its evolution, and distribution in the Universe. This school aims to offer interdisciplinary training in astrobiology to students and young researchers having a master\u2019s degree in astronomy, planetology, geology, chemistry, biology, or history and philosophy of science. If you are a master&rsquo;s student, preparing a thesis, or are an early career scientist with a subject related to astrobiology, this training school is for you!<br>From June 10th to 14th, we invite you to participate in the Virtual RED Astrobiology School. This virtual school is based on the lectures from the \u201cin-person\u201d school held in Le Teich (France) in March 2024. Registering for the school will offer you an opportunity to listen to the lessons filmed on-site, interact directly with the lecturers, ask questions, and engage in conversations with other participants from all over the world!<br>Participants who watch the whole lecture series and succeed in short quizzes about it will receive a certificate of attendance. In the next years, new astronomical instruments will scout ever more distant regions of our Galaxy and they will validate new technology for the ultimate direct characterisation of temperate exoplanets. Such a change of physical and technological horizon will allow us to overcome the current observational biases in the search of alien worlds, and to gain a deeper understanding of the chemical and physical properties of exoplanets and the environment that surround them. Ultimately, we will be able to unveil processes of formation and evolution of planets, together with those of their atmospheres, on a scale much larger than our Solar Neighbourhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal of this session is to bring together the instrumentation and observational communities that are underpinning the future of this field.
