NenuFAR Open Time Cycle #5: call for proposals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Located on the site of the Nan\u00e7ay Radio Observatory in France, NenuFAR is a very large low-frequency radio telescope, which is among the most powerful in the world in its frequency range between 10 MHz and 85 MHz. This range corresponds to the lowest spectral \u201cwindow\u201d in which we can observe with radio telescopes from the surface of the Earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite the worldwide community to apply for observing with NenuFAR during Cycle #5, that runs from 1 December 2024 to 31 May 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Submission deadline : <\/strong>Wednesday 11 September 2024, 12 UT<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proposal documents are available here: <a href=\"https:\/\/nenufar.obs-nancay.fr\/en\/astronomer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/nenufar.obs-nancay.fr\/en\/astronomer\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Transmis par St\u00e9phane Corbel<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Workshop Artificial intelligence for astrochemistry, Oct. 24-25 2024, Bordeaux (France)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Following our successful workshops on observational astrochemistry in 2020 and 2022 at the Laboratoire d&rsquo;astrophysique de Bordeaux (LAB), we organise a third edition focusing on artificial intelligence tools and applications. The workshop will take place on October 24-25 at the LAB with the title \u00ab\u00a0Artificial intelligence for astrochemistry\u00a0\u00bb. Our primary goal is to bring together the community interested in developing such tools. Participants are invited to present their tools (also in development), as well as needs for new methods. Our overall aim is to foster discussions based on artificial intelligence and machine learning to facilitate the analysis of (millimeter) spectroscopic observations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop is open for anyone interested, however, for logistical reasons we ask participants to sign up with their <strong>proposed contribution before the 30th of September<\/strong>. Worshop Cesam2k20 II, Nov. 14-14 2024, Meudon (France)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Cesam2k20 Workshop II: Transport processes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to strengthen the community of users around the Cesam2k20 public stellar evolution code, we are organising a second workshop which will take place on <em>14-15 November 2024<\/em>, at the Observatoire de Meudon in the Centre de Conf\u00e9rences Jules Janssen for <em>30 people<\/em>. The workshop website is now open: <a href=\"https:\/\/cesamworkshop2.sciencesconf.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/cesamworkshop2.sciencesconf.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year&rsquo;s edition will focus mainly on modelling the transport mechanisms of chemical elements and angular momentum. However, novice users of Cesam2k20 are welcome and part of the workshop will be dedicated to installing and getting to grips with the code.<br>This workshop is aimed at all communities that use stellar models (stellar physics, exoplanets, disks, physics of the Milky Way and of the galaxies, etc.).<br>We can provide (partial) financial support for people coming from far away or whose laboratory is unable to fund the full cost of their mission. When examining applications, the SOC will be particularly careful to take into account the various biases in the awarding of grants.<br>We hope to see many of you there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>deadline for funding applications<\/strong> is the <em>8th September 2024 (midnight)<\/em>.<br><strong>Registrations<\/strong> are open from the <em>1st June 2024<\/em> to the <em>1st September 2024 (midnight)<\/em>.<br>The number of places is limited to 30 people, so please register as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SOC: L.
