    2. Johannes Geiss Fellowship at ISSI<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The International Space Science Institute (ISSI) in Bern, Switzerland invites applications for the 2025 Johannes Geiss Fellowship (JGF25). With this fellowship ISSI honours the memory of Johannes Geiss, the founder of ISSI, and his contributions to the space sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The fellowship aims to attract internationally renowned scientists to make a significant contribution to the ISSI mission by pursuing ambitious independent research, in any of the disciplines that are part of ISSI\u2019s core mission: Astrophysics, Heliophysics, Planetary Sciences and Earth Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Un colloque est organis\u00e9 le vendredi 18 octobre<\/strong> au si\u00e8ge du CNRS, 3 rue Michel – Ange, 75016 Paris pour honorer la m\u00e9moire de Hubert Reeves, d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 Paris le 13 octobre 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Ce colloque sera l’occasion pour ses anciens coll\u00e8gues et amis de pr\u00e9senter les diverses facettes de ses multiples activit\u00e9s : la recherche scientifique et ses d\u00e9couvertes en astrophysique, la diffusion de la science, son engagement en faveur de l’environnement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Le colloque est adress\u00e9 au grand public et sera entierement en fran\u00e7ais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. RAMSES SNO days, 13-14 Nov. 2024, IAP, Paris (France)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The RAMSES SNO is pleased to announce its second RAMSES SNO days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The \u00ab\u00a0RAMSES SNO\u00a0\u00bb is a CNRS initiative to support RAMSES’ use and development within our astrophysics community. J\u00e9r\u00e9my Blaizot (Lyon) is leading this effort, along with Yohan Dubois (Paris), Matthias Gonzalez (Saclay), Pierre Ocvirk (Strasbourg), Amandine Le Brun (Meudon), and S\u00e9bastien Peirani (Nice).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We’re planning this meeting on November 13th and 14th in IAP (Paris). The meeting will resemble a French mini RAMSES User Meeting, with the addition of a presentation of the SNO objectives and activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    More details regarding the program and venue will follow soon, but please save these dates and start arranging your travel. While we’ll offer online access to the meeting, we strongly encourage you to attend in person to foster community interaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5. Cesam2k20 Workshop II: Processus de transport, 14-15 Nov. 2024, Meudon (France) – Last call<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    In order to strengthen the community of users around the Cesam2k20 public stellar evolution code, we are organising a second workshop which will take place on 14-15 November 2024<\/em>, at the Observatoire de Meudon in the Centre de Conf\u00e9rences Jules Janssen for 30 people<\/em>. The workshop website is now open: https:\/\/cesamworkshop2.sciencesconf.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This year’s edition will focus mainly on modelling the transport mechanisms of chemical elements and angular momentum. However, novice users of Cesam2k20 are welcome and part of the workshop will be dedicated to installing and getting to grips with the code.
    This workshop is aimed at all communities that use stellar models (stellar physics, exoplanets, disks, physics of the Milky Way and of the galaxies, etc.).
    We can provide (partial) financial support for people coming from far away or whose laboratory is unable to fund the full cost of their mission. When examining applications, the SOC will be particularly careful to take into account the various biases in the awarding of grants.
    We hope to see many of you there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The deadline for funding applications is the 30th September 2024 (midnight)<\/em>.
