    1. Call for NRT proposals – 2025B<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    This is the 2025B semester call for proposals to observe with the Nancay Radio Telescope. The submission deadline is: 1 May 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Nancay Radio Telescope (NRT, France) is a high sensitivity (1.4 K\/Jy at 21cm) meridian telescope (the tracking duration is 1 hour, and varies approximately as 1\/cos(DEC) ) with full polarization capability in the frequency range from 1.1 GHz to 3.5 GHz. The declination limit is > -39 deg. It is operated by the Observatoire de Paris, the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique and also funded by the Region Centre-Val de Loire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The NRT proposal call is open to the international community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Appel \u00e0 projets TNA Centres d’expertise ACME<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Le projet europ\u00e9en Astrophysics Centre for Multimessenger studies in Europe (ACME) a ouvert le 1er appel Transnational Access (TNA) pour ses Centres d’expertise.
    La date limite de soumission des propositions est le 6 avril 2025 \u00e0 17h00 CET.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    L’appel vise \u00e0 soutenir des visites de recherche dans des instituts europ\u00e9ens qui proposent une formation directe et des conseils d’experts en astronomie multi-messagers. Le programme couvre un large \u00e9ventail de domaines, notamment les ondes gravitationnelles, les neutrinos, les rayons cosmiques et les photons sur l\u2019ensemble du spectre \u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tique, depuis les rayons gamma de tr\u00e8s haute \u00e9nergie jusqu\u2019aux rayons X, UV, optiques, proches infrarouges et radio. L\u2019objectif est d\u2019am\u00e9liorer et d\u2019\u00e9largir l\u2019expertise dans les aspects observationnels, d\u2019analyse des donn\u00e9es et th\u00e9oriques dans les diff\u00e9rents domaines multi-messager et multi-longueurs d\u2019onde d’ACME.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Les candidats \u00e9ligibles sont des scientifiques ((doctorants, post-doctorants, personnel) d’instituts de recherche et d’universit\u00e9s de pays de l’UE et de pays tiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Le PEPR Exploratoire Origins vise \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 des d\u00e9fis technologiques essentiels pour avancer dans la recherche sur les origines des plan\u00e8tes et de la vie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    La qu\u00eate des Origines est profond\u00e9ment d\u00e9pendante des avanc\u00e9es technologiques et sociales initi\u00e9es par les scientifiques du domaine. La mission de ce PEPR Exploratoire est de lever des verrous technologiques pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment identifi\u00e9s pour permettre des avanc\u00e9es d\u00e9cisives suivant cinq axes de recherche d\u2019excellence nationale :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Les projets s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s via cet appel \u00e0 projets doivent \u00eatre utiles aux activit\u00e9s scientifiques d’au moins un des axes de recherche et doivent avoir des applications potentielles en dehors du domaine acad\u00e9mique et stimuler l’innovation. Le pr\u00e9sent appel mobilisera 4,8M\u20ac. Le montant de l\u2019aide demand\u00e9e par projet doit se situer entre 800k\u20ac et 2,4M\u20ac. Le projet aura une dur\u00e9e comprise entre 2 et 4 ans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Comme tous les deux ans, la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Fran\u00e7aise d\u2019Exobiologie organise l\u2019attribution de deux prix r\u00e9compensant des travaux dans le domaine de l\u2019exobiologie\/astrobiologie (ayant trait \u00e0 l\u2019origine de la vie, \u00e0 ses conditions d\u2019\u00e9mergence, \u00e0 son \u00e9volution pr\u00e9coce et \u00e0 sa pr\u00e9sence ou son \u00e9mergence possible dans d\u2019autres lieux de l\u2019univers).

      5. Line Intensity Mapping 2025 (LIM25) conference, June 2\u20136, 2025, Annecy (France)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      We are delighted to announce the Line Intensity Mapping 2025 (LIM25) conference, which will take place from June 2\u20136, 2025, in Annecy, France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Line intensity mapping (LIM) is an emerging observational technique with the potential to greatly enhance our understanding of both cosmology and astrophysics. Performing intensity mapping in different wavelengths would enable us to obtain robust detection of LIM signals and assure their cosmological\/astrophysical origin, and enhance the scientific return of individual observations. Despite its promise, LIM is still a relatively young field, which naturally comes with a range of instrumental, observational, and theoretical challenges that need to be addressed. The success of LIM as a reliable probe in both astrophysics and cosmology therefore depends heavily on the collaboration of experts across these areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The LIM25 conference, the 9th edition of a series that began in 2016, seeks to bring together specialists from various disciplines central to LIM research. The event will focus on addressing current challenges, showcasing recent advances, discussing obstacles encountered during early experiments, and exploring prospects for large-scale surveys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      We are particularly keen to highlight contributions from early-career scientists. In addition to invited talks, the program will feature contributed talks and discussion sessions designed to delve into technical issues and foster meaningful exchanges. The conference will be an in-person event, accommodating 70\u2013100 participants (with a maximum of 120), and will be hosted by Laboratoire Annecy-le-Vieux de Physique Th\u00e9orique (LAPTh), CNRS, France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      6. JIVE VLBI School, Spetembre 15-19, 2025, Dwingeloo (the Netherlands)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      We are excited to announce that the JIVE VLBI School<\/a> (JVS) is set to take place during the week of 15-19 September 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The school will be held simultaneously at the Joint Institute for VLBI ERIC<\/a> (JIVE) in Dwingeloo (the Netherlands), and the University of Pretoria<\/a> (South Africa), with the latter serving as a satellite hub with limited participation. We will hold common lectures (in-person and streamed from both venues) and parallel in-person tutorial sessions. Online participation with access to streamed lectures, tutorial materials and chat platform to interact with the lecturers is possible free of cost. However, the guided tutorials will be in-person only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      JVS 2025 will train the participants in data processing and imaging of very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) observations. The school will cover lectures ranging from the basics of radio interferometry in general to VLBI in particular. There will be extensive hands-on sessions to process and analyse the European VLBI Network (EVN) data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Registration is mandatory for both in-person and online participants. Registration is open now and the deadline is 16 May 2025. Please note that there is a limit of 40 participants for in-person participation at JIVE and 10 participants at the University of Pretoria. Local participants will be given preference for participating in the latter venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      We are pleased to announce the 3rd edition of the multi-disciplinary MIST meeting:
      \u201cCosmic turbulence and Magnetic fields: physics of baryonic matter across time and scales\u201d
      to be held from September 29 to October 3, 2025 in Carg\u00e8se (France).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The goal of the meeting is to facilitate cross-pollination of research in fields of astrophysics
      and physics that are usually discussed separately. We expect the conference to open
      new kinds of collaborations for the benefit of the young generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      We are pleased to announce that the 6th Workshop of the Network for Ultraviolet Astronomy (NUVA) will take place from October 6\u201310, 2025, in Marseille, France. The theme of the 2025 edition is \u201cInstrumentation and Scientific Frontiers in UV Astronomy\u201d: https:\/\/institut-origines.univ-amu.fr\/fr\/partenariats\/workshops-internationaux\/network-ultraviolet-astronomy-2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      This international workshop will bring together scientists, engineers, and students to:
      (i) discuss recent advances in UV astronomy, from distant galaxies to solar system bodies,
      (ii) review the status and prospects of current and future UV instrumentation, and
      (iii) foster new collaborations and initiatives in the UV astronomy community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
