Nomination of candidates for EAS Council: deadline December 31, 2025<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Devenez membre du conseil de l\u2019EAS !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019EAS lance un appel \u00e0 nominations afin de renouveler plusieurs postes qui vont devenir vacants au conseil de l\u2019EAS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les auto-nominations sont possibles et la SF2A encourage fortement ses membres \u00e0 prendre des responsabilit\u00e9s aux sein de l\u2019EAS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les dossiers de candidature doivent parvenir \u00e0 l&rsquo;EAS avant le 31 d\u00e9cembre 2025. La s\u00e9lection des candidats se fera selon les modalit\u00e9s d\u00e9crites dans le message de Marc Audard reproduit ci-dessous:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dear EAS members<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to our constitution and by-laws, several positions in Council will be up for election or re-election in the coming months, with the effective start of the positions at the General Assembly in Lausanne in 2026. The positions (and current Council members in these positions) are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>President (Sara Lucatello, appointed ad interim)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vice-President 1 \u00a0 \u00a0(Nabila Aghanim, appointed ad interim)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Treasurer &nbsp; &nbsp;(Nick Kylafis)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 Councillors &nbsp; &nbsp;(Mariya Lyubenova, Robert Massey appointed ad interim, Andi Burkert)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All above Council members (except Andi Burkert) have expressed their desires to continue in their position and are eligible for a 1st or a 2nd term. Andi Burkert has already served 2 4-year terms and is, thus, no longer eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the recommendation of the Nominating Committee, composed of Conny Aerts, Elias Brinks, Johan Knapen, Michael Kramer, and Andreja Gomboc as liaison, we welcome nominations of candidates for Council positions. Ordinary members may nominate candidates, provided such candidates have indicated in writing that they are willing to serve if elected. Nominations need to arrive, by email, to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:eas@unige.ch\">eas@unige.ch<\/a>&nbsp;no later than one month after receiving the notification of the vacant posts. The Nominating Committee is then tasked to prepare a balanced slate of candidates, which will include more candidates than the number of vacant posts. It shall pay due attention to attaining a reasonable balance within the council, in terms of geography, gender and scientific expertise. The Nominating Committee may reconfirm eligible Council members in the same position.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We would like, therefore, to receive nominations of candidates by December 31, 2025, with the indication of the position in Council for which they are interested to run. The candidates will need to confirm that they are willing to serve if elected. They will also need to provide a short text about their career, their expertise (scientific and non-scientific) that could be useful for EAS, etc. Self-nominations are allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Transmis par Julien Malzac<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.
