Prix Gemini 2026<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Astronomique de France (SAF) et la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Fran\u00e7aise d\u2019Astronomie et d\u2019Astrophysique (SF2A) se sont associ\u00e9es pour cr\u00e9er le Prix Gemini destin\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9compenser une collaboration remarquable entre amateurs et professionnels en astronomie et sciences connexes. Ainsi, elles lancent l\u2019appel \u00e0 candidature pour le Prix Gemini 2026 qui sera remis lors des Journ\u00e9es de la SF2A, qui se tiendront du 22 au 26 juin 2026 \u00e0 Grenoble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour l\u2019\u00e9dition 2026 du prix Gemini, le jury Gemini invite les candidatures de nouvelles collaborations ainsi que celles des candidats et candidates non laur\u00e9ats des ann\u00e9es pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes (avec des dossiers remis \u00e0 jour). Prix Chesneau 2025<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chesneau Prize is awarded every two years to an outstanding recently graduated PhD student in the field of High Angular Resolution Astronomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was established in 2015 by the Observatoire de la C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur and the European Southern Observatory in memory of Olivier Chesneau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2025 prize is for PhDs defended in the years 2023 and 2024. Candidates can be nominated until&nbsp;<strong>February, 28, 2026<\/strong>. No self-nomination is accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award committee is constituted of four members :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Director of the Observatoire de la C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur,or his\/her representative<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Director of the Laboratory Lagrange,or his\/her representative<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ESO Director for Science,or his\/her representative<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Director of the CNRS\/INSU \u201cAction Sp\u00e9cifique sur la Haute R\u00e9solution Angulaire\u201d (ASHRA), or his\/her representative<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The committee organizes its work completely independently; in particular, it may consult outside experts to evaluate the candidates. Deliberations are kept confidential. The committee may decide to share the prize between two nominees or to award no prize, based on the quality of the nominations. The decisions of the committee are final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Observatoire de la C\u00f4te d&rsquo;Azur will provide a monetary award of 1000\u20ac, an award certificate and will hand the prize at a ceremony. Its primary objective is to better understand the experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and other gender or sexual minority (LGBTQIA+) individuals within the astronomical and planetary science community. Importantly, participation from non-LGBTQIA+ individuals is strongly encouraged and essential in order to obtain a comprehensive and representative overview of the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The survey is fully anonymous and takes only a few minutes to complete, and the deadline is February 28th.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We would be very grateful if you could share this survey with your members via your mailing lists, newsletters, or other appropriate communication channels.
