It presents various scientific cases demonstrating how EST will significantly advance several key themes in heliospheric physics, in which most French laboratories are involved. The paper particularly emphasizes its relevance to Sun-Earth relations and space weather, a field in which the French community excels. It also shows how EST will contribute to major advances in solar wind connectivity models and improved solar activity forecasting. The paper concludes by explaining why EST will be a driving force for the entire French and European heliophysics and astrophysics communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The contributors to the white paper: E.
