    1. Renouvellement du conseil de la SF2A \u2013 Date limite 9 avril 2026, 12h CEST<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Fran\u00e7aise d\u2019Astronomie et d\u2019Astrophysique (SF2A), association loi 1901, a pour but de contribuer au d\u00e9veloppement et au rayonnement de l\u2019astronomie en France et d\u2019y associer l\u2019ensemble des sp\u00e9cialistes d\u2019astronomie concourant \u00e0 ce m\u00eame objectif. Sous le haut patronage de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie des Sciences, elle coordonne les actions et assure la repr\u00e9sentation de la communaut\u00e9 fran\u00e7aise dans l\u2019Union Astronomique Internationale (IAU) ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019European Astronomical Society (EAS).     La SF2A est administr\u00e9e par un Conseil d\u2019Administration de 12 membres \u00e9lus pour 4 ans par l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e G\u00e9n\u00e9rale au scrutin secret, uninominal, majoritaire \u00e0 un tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    La moiti\u00e9 du conseil de la SF2A doit \u00eatre renouvel\u00e9e en 2026, soit six personnes. Les membres du Conseil dont le mandat arrive \u00e0 terme sont : Olivia Venot (Pr\u00e9sidente), K\u00e9vin Bailli\u00e9 (Tr\u00e9sorier), Julien Malzac (Vice-Pr\u00e9sident International), Nad\u00e8ge Lagarde, Rhita-Maria Ouazzani (resp. Commission Femmes & Astronomie), Matthieu Bethermin (Webmaster).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Nous sollicitons d\u00e8s aujourd\u2019hui des candidatures. Sont \u00e9ligibles les personnes \u00e0 jour de leur cotisation SF2A en 2026<\/strong>. Une candidature doit \u00eatre accompagn\u00e9e d\u2019une profession de foi d\u2019une page maximum au format pdf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Les candidatures sont \u00e0 envoyer au secr\u00e9tariat de la SF2A (secretariat@sf2a.eu<\/a>) avec l\u2019objet \u00ab Candidature SF2A \u00bb. La date limite de r\u00e9ception est fix\u00e9e au jeudi 9 avril 12h CEST<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Le vote \u00e9lectronique sera mis en place durant la deuxi\u00e8me quinzaine d\u2019avril et les r\u00e9sultats seront annonc\u00e9s lors de l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e G\u00e9n\u00e9rale, pendant les journ\u00e9es annuelles de la SF2A qui se tiendront \u00e0 Grenoble du 22 au 26 juin 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Nous vous rappelons que les journ\u00e9es de la SF2A 2026 se tiendront du 22 au 26 juin 2026 \u00e0 Grenoble. Toutes les informations concernant les ateliers, les sessions pl\u00e9ni\u00e8res et les diff\u00e9rents aspects pratiques sont sur le site web suivant :\u00a0https:\/\/journees.sf2a.eu<\/a>. \u00a0Le programme d\u00e9finitif sera communiqu\u00e9 le 5 mai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Les inscriptions sont ouvertes jusqu\u2019au 2 juin inclus pour une participation en pr\u00e9sentiel (y compris pour les \u00e9tudiants, doctorants, porteurs d\u2019ateliers, orateurs de sessions pl\u00e9ni\u00e8res), et jusqu\u2019au 12 juin inclus pour une participation en ligne. Le tarif r\u00e9duit est disponible jusqu\u2019au 12 mai inclus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. Article blanc sur le projet de l’European Solar Telescope<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Following the conclusions of the\u00a0EST France 2025 workshop<\/a>\u00a0(held in Paris in June 2025;\u00a0https:\/\/est-france-2025.sciencesconf.org\/<\/a>), a white paper has been drafted to highlight the importance of the\u00a0European Solar Telescope<\/a>\u00a0(EST;\u00a0https:\/\/est-east.eu\/<\/a>), the only European project of this half-century for a next-generation 4.2-meter solar telescope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The paper, titled \u00ab\u00a0White paper on the relevance of the European Solar Telescope (EST) for the French heliophysics community<\/a>,\u00a0\u00bb is available at the following address: https:\/\/hal.science\/hal-05553853<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This white paper, primarily authored by young French solar physicists, is co-signed by over sixty members of the French research community, working across some fifteen astrophysics research units. It presents various scientific cases demonstrating how EST will significantly advance several key themes in heliospheric physics, in which most French laboratories are involved. The paper particularly emphasizes its relevance to Sun-Earth relations and space weather, a field in which the French community excels. It also shows how EST will contribute to major advances in solar wind connectivity models and improved solar activity forecasting. The paper concludes by explaining why EST will be a driving force for the entire French and European heliophysics and astrophysics communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. Conference Origins 2026, July 6-10, 2026, Paris (France) – Abstract submission deadline demain 31 mars<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Origins 2026 is an international conference jointly organized by the International Society for the Study of the Origins of Life \u2013 The International Astrobiology Society (ISSOL) and the Astrobiology Commission of the International Astronomical Union (IAU). It will take place from 6 to 10 July 2026 in Paris, France. The Abstract submission deadline is coming very soon (March 31, 2026)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Origins 2026 will bring together experts from a wide range of disciplines\u2014including chemistry, biology, planetary science, and astrophysics\u2014to explore the origins of life and planetary habitability on Earth and beyond. Hosted at the prestigious Sorbonne Universit\u00e9, the scientific program will highlight interdisciplinary research on the transition from non-living to living systems, early Earth environments, evolutionary processes, and the search for biosignatures in the universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The scientific program will feature the latest advances in prebiotic chemistry, the evolution of early life, and habitability within the Solar System and on exoplanets, alongside philosophical and historical perspectives. Special emphasis will be placed on the contributions of early-career researchers, with dedicated opportunities for visibility and exchange. This landmark event aims to strengthen international collaborations and advance our understanding of the emergence of life.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
