Non-sidereal tracking of solar system objects, including near-Earth objects, is a particular strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pre-observing training is offered for new observers and those unfamiliar with the instruments. ToO interrupt and time critical programs are supported. Observing is usually conducted remotely. Survey of European Community Requirements for the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the successful launch of the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope on 30 August, ESA is currently conducting a survey to better understand how the European scientific community plans to use data from Roman and what level of data access, archive functionality, and computing resources may be required to support future scientific exploitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As ESA&rsquo;s Roman Project Scientist, I am leading this effort together with the team of ESA-appointed scientists for Roman. The information collected will provide an important evidence base for understanding the scientific and technical requirements of the European Roman community. It will help inform future discussions within ESA on how best to support Roman science in Europe, including the potential value of enabling co-analysis of Roman data with ESA mission data such as Euclid, Gaia, and PLATO, where appropriate. The questionnaire is intended to capture community requirements and should not be interpreted as a commitment to any particular implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We would be very grateful if you could complete the survey within the next two weeks. Call for Plenary and Invited Talks \u2013 53rd EPS Conference on Plasma Physics (DL 7 October 2026)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 53rd EPS Conference on Plasma Physics will take place on 5-9 July 2027 at the Swiss Plasma Center at EPFL, in Lausanne, Switzerland.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/epsplasma2027.epfl.ch\/\">https:\/\/epsplasma2027.epfl.ch\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The call for proposals for Plenary and Invited Talks is now open, with a deadline of&nbsp;<strong>7 October 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conference programme covers Magnetic Confinement Fusion, Beam Plasma and Inertial Fusion, Low Temperature Plasmas, and Basic, Space and Astrophysical Plasmas. We particularly encourage members of the space and astrophysical plasma communities to submit proposals for Plenary and Invited Talks and help ensure strong representation of these fields in the conference programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plenary Talks should provide a broad, &nbsp;accessible overview of a key area in plasma physics. At least one-third of the content should be introductory to engage the full conference audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Invited Talks should highlight cutting-edge research and significant new results across any area of plasma physics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Self-nominations for plenary and invited talks are accepted, please make sure this is clear in your submission.
