Consequently, a long-standing debate has resurfaced: Are formal conference proceedings still a valuable use of our community\u2019s time and resources?<\/p>\n\n\n\n To answer this, the International Astronomical Union is convening a Task Force on the Utility of IAU Symposia\/Focus Meeting Proceedings. Our goal is to determine if IAU Proceedings still provide unique scientific and career value and, based on the findings, suggest possible revisions or alternatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For this, we need your input. X-IFU est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 sous la responsabilit\u00e9 scientifique de l\u2019IRAP et la ma\u00eetrise d\u2019\u0153uvre du CNES.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n newAthena sera la troisi\u00e8me grande mission du programme Cosmic Vision de l\u2019Agence spatiale europ\u00e9enne, apr\u00e8s JUICE et LISA. La phase pr\u00e9paratoire \u00e0 l\u2019adoption de newAthena vient de d\u00e9marrer. Ainsi appel\u00e9e, la Mission Adoption Review couvrira la p\u00e9riode de septembre 2026 \u00e0 mars 2027. Cette revue couvre tous les aspects de la mission, aussi bien techniques que programmatiques : elle est plac\u00e9e sous la responsabilit\u00e9 conjointe de la directrice scientifique et de l\u2019inspecteur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l\u2019ESA. Elle s\u2019appuie sur deux \u00e9tudes industrielles men\u00e9es par Airbus Defence and Space (Friedrichshafen\/Toulouse) et Thales Alenia Space (Cannes). C\u2019est le pr\u00e9requis pour qu\u2019un appel d\u2019offres soit lanc\u00e9 par l\u2019ESA afin de d\u00e9terminer l\u2019industriel en charge de la fabrication du satellite. Le kick-off des activit\u00e9s industrielles est ensuite pr\u00e9vu pour mi-2028. S\u2019ensuivra la phase d\u2019impl\u00e9mentation de la mission, sur une p\u00e9riode d\u2019environ 10 ans, pour un lancement par Ariane 6 \u00e0 la fin de la prochaine d\u00e9cennie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Concernant le X-IFU, l\u2019ensemble des contributions fran\u00e7aises requises pour le d\u00e9veloppement complet de l\u2019instrument et de son segment sol sont en cours de r\u00e9\u00e9valuation.
